Update time…

Am just under a hundred pages into The Time Travelers; will return to it later, but need a break from the story and have seen so many Twitter updates about The Hunger Games that I’m going to give that a re-read. I’d pulled Battle Royale, which has a similar premise, as a possible book for the readathon, but I know it’ll take up several hours’ worth of reading at a fast clip. I’d rather hold off and give that one a luxurious read (if one can say that about a gruesome and psychopathic book).

Just got out of the shower; think it helped lift my lids a bit so I shouldn’t start flagging again for a while. Am trying to avoid coffee, but may have to indulge this afternoon. All it means is that once the caffeine starts really flowing, I have to keep it up, right? I can do that. :) Anyway, back to it – hope everyone is making great progress and having fun!

I loved The Hunger Games. REad it in the middle of the night during the last ‘thon.

I’m reading it for the second time; I think I was too harsh in my review the first go. Will have to make amends :)

I’m popping by to offer some cheering! Give me an R! Give me an E! Give me an A! Give me a D! What does that spell?! Read! Read! Read!

    Enjoy your reread!

  4. Michelle says:

The Hunger Games is a perfect read for the read-a-thon, especially when you start getting tired. Way to hang in there! Halfway through – keep it up!

  5. Kirsten says:

    Haha, thanks, Eva!

Michelle, I caved – tried to just take a twenty-minute nap and ended up having to sleep about two hours. This is why I should have turned my phone OFF and insisted on the early bedtime last night; I’d have been fine on more than three hours of sleep!!!

  6. Kailana says:

The Hunger Games is a very popular read-a-thon book from what I have noticed!

  7. Alita says:

I know, everyone keeps talking about The Hunger Games today! I just picked it up from the library yesterday, and it’s waiting patiently in line with my other books, but I’m so tempted to just read it now.

I hope you’re still having fun – enjoy your remaining books :)

Kailana, I wasn’t going to re-read it today, but everyone talking about it prompted me to pick it up, and I’m glad I did :)
Thanks, Alita; I’m definitely doing better after a nap and some food :) Hoping to finish this one by 9p PST, then either returning to The Time Travelers or picking up Susan Cooper’s Over Sea Under Stone. Thanks for coming by!
